How to create a Will You Be My Valentine link

A “Will you be my Valentine” link is a small web page made for one person: your question, a Yes button and a No button that runs away. Here’s how to make one in about a minute, and how to know when they’ve answered.

What you’ll make

When the other person opens your link, they see “Alex has a question for you…” and your question in big letters, with two buttons. The No button won’t let itself be pressed: it runs away, shrinks, teleports or keeps asking “Are you sure?”, depending on what you choose. When they press Yes, they get a celebration and any secret note you left. Meanwhile, your private tracker shows that they opened it and said yes.

Step by step

  1. Open the Valentine link maker. It works on any phone or computer, with no app and no sign-up.
  2. Type your name. This is how they’ll know who’s asking. Use the name they call you.
  3. Add their name (optional). The question then reads “Will you be my Valentine, Sam?”. It’s a small touch that makes it feel made for them.
  4. Pick the wording. “Will you be my Valentine?”, “Would you be my Valentine?”, “Will you be mine?”, “Do you wanna be my Valentine?”, “Can you be my Valentine?”, “Will you be our Valentine?”, or write your own question (up to 80 characters).
  5. Make it yours (optional). Open “Make it yours” to choose:
    • the colours: Rose, Blush, Peach, Lavender, Midnight, Sunshine, Lilac or Prom night;
    • what the No button does: runs away, keeps asking “Are you sure?”, shrinks, or teleports;
    • the celebration: a heart shower, confetti or fireworks;
    • a secret note of up to 200 characters, shown only after they say yes.
    Watch the phone preview as you go (on a phone, tap “Preview what they’ll see”).
  6. Press “Create my free link”. You get two links: the one to send, and your private tracker.
  7. Send it. Tap WhatsApp, Messages, Telegram or Email, or copy the link into any app. You can also show a QR code, or print it on a note or sign.
  8. Keep your tracker link. Open it any time to see whether the link was opened and when they said yes. Links you make are also listed under “Your links on this device” on the same phone or computer.

Ready? It takes about a minute.

Free, no sign-up, works in every chat app.

Tips for a better link

  • Try it yourself first. Use “Try it yourself” after creating the link. It opens a preview that doesn’t count as a view.
  • Use the secret note for the plan. “Dinner at 7 on Saturday, I booked the place you like” turns a fun ask into a real date.
  • Match the No button to the person. “Runs away” is the classic; “Are you sure?” is the funniest on a phone; “Teleports” is chaos.
  • Send it at a good moment: when they have a minute to enjoy it, not in the middle of a work meeting.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Valentine link free?

Yes. The link, every option and the tracker are free, with no sign-up. An optional Premium link (₹99, one payment) adds your photo, a longer letter and a live dashboard, but you don’t need it.

Can I change the link after sending it?

No. The details are part of the link, so make a new one if you need to change something. It only takes a minute.

How do I know if they said yes?

Open your tracker link. It shows “Waiting”, “Opened” or “They said YES” with the time, and refreshes itself every 30 seconds.

Does the link expire?

No expiry date is set on links. You can send it early and they can open it whenever they’re ready.

Will it work in Instagram or Snapchat?

Yes. It opens in the app’s built-in browser, like any other link.
