What is Galentine’s Day?
A day for the friends who’ve always had your back
Galentine’s Day is celebrated on 13 February, the day before Valentine’s Day. It started as a joke on the TV comedy Parks and Recreation, where Leslie Knope spends every 13 February having breakfast with her female friends, and it caught on because it’s a genuinely nice idea: a day to celebrate friendship, whatever your relationship status.
These days it isn’t only for women. Plenty of people send “Will you be my Palentine?” to a guy friend, or ask the whole group chat “Will you be our Galentine?”. The link above has all three.
Galentine’s plans to put in your secret note
The note appears only after they say Yes, so it’s the perfect place for the actual invitation:
- Brunch or breakfast, the Leslie Knope classic. Waffles are traditional.

What does my friend see?
